Dive Conditions

Description: Conditions are looking great with southerly winds forecast for the rest of the week.  Diving and snorkeling will be fantastic with the friendly grey nurse sharks, sea turtles and eagle rays. As an added bonus we have been seeing loads of whales on the trip out to Julian Rocks.

Forecast for Tuesday until midnight

North of Cape Byron:

Winds: East to southeasterly 5 to 10 knots becoming light during the morning then tending east to northeasterly up to 10 knots during the afternoon. Seas: Below 1 metre. Swell: Easterly about 1 metre this morning becoming below 0.5 metres. Swell: Southerly about 1 metre.

Elsewhere:

Winds: Light winds tending east to southeasterly up to 10 knots during the afternoon then increasing to 10 to 15 knots later in the evening. Seas: Below 1 metre. Swell: Southerly 1.5 metres.

Forecast for Wednesday

Winds: South to southeasterly 10 to 15 knots decreasing below 10 knots during the afternoon then tending east to southeasterly by early evening. Seas: Below 1 metre. Swell: Southerly 1.5 metres.

Forecast for Thursday

Winds: Northeasterly 5 to 10 knots tending north to northwesterly during the morning then tending northerly 10 to 20 knots during the afternoon. Winds increasing to northerly 20 to 30 knots during the evening. Seas: Below 1 metre increasing to 1 to 1.5 metres during the afternoon then increasing to 1.5 to 2 metres during the evening. Swell: Southerly about 1.5 metres.
