- Description:
- The wind has changed to the south so the bay is smooth, the sun is out and the water is warm. Conditions are perfect for diving and snorkelling today…… As always we have been seeing lots of colourful fish and turtles. Schools of spotted eagle rays and lots of leopard sharks have been hanging around Julian Rocks, along with a recent manta ray appearance.
Far North Coastal Waters, Point Danger to Wooli and 60nm seawards:
Strong Wind Warning.
Thursday until midnight: Wind: S 15/20 knots at first, strengthening to S/SE 20/30 knots in the afternoon. Sea: 1 to 2 metres, rising to 2 to 3 metres in the afternoon. Swell: E 1.5 to 2 metres, becoming S/SE 1.5 to 2.5 metres later.
Friday: Wind: S/SE 20/30 knots, easing to 20/25 knots in the south. Sea: 2 to 3 metres. Swell: S/SE 2 to 3 metres, decreasing later.
Saturday: Wind: SE 15/25 knots.
