BUILD YOUR RESCUE DIVING CONFIDENCE

Increase your skills and confidence and walk away as a much safer diver. This is one of the most rewarding courses, teaching you the necessary skills to respond to and manage stressful and emergency situations. In doing this, you will become more confident in your diving abilities and know that you can comfortably assist others.

The rescue course is divided into two components. The first deals with recognizing and avoiding stress whilst engaged in diving activities, aiming to avoid rescues situations. The second component deals with rescue management and the initiation of rescues.

Your course includes:

  • Full equipment hire
  • 2 pool sessions
  • Online theory
  • 4 dives at Julian Rocks*
  • Certification on completion of course

Please bring with you:

  • Swimwear
  • Towel
  • Proof of open water and advanced certification
  • Proof of current first aid and CPR certificate**
  • Dive medical if required (see disclaimer)

We recommend booking all courses in advance as we can become very busy, especially in peak times.

Disclaimer: Please note that for all courses you will require a dive medical if you are under 15 years of age or 45 years and over. You may also require a dive medical if you have a medical condition. Please contact us prior to booking to discuss if a medical will be required. All medicals must be completed prior to the first day of the course. For all courses, all participants must be able to swim and be comfortable in the ocean. It is required that you can speak and understand English for all courses. Please see our passenger policy for more details.

*Please note that weather and ocean conditions can vary and sometimes become unsuitable for diving at Julian Rocks. If this occurs, alternate dive sites within the region may be used for training dives

**Please note it is requirement that you have a current first aid and CPR certificate to be certified as a rescue diver. Please contact us if you do not have this as we run regular courses at our dive store.
